Because this story is written in Annie's therapy session with her doctor it is clear right from the beginning that Annie survives her abduction but what happens as the story unfold is nothing less than disturbing and painful. On the day that Annie is abducted she has an open house and plans for dinner with her boyfriend afterward. During the open house, her mother contacts her about a coffee pot and they get into a disagreement. Annie is just closing up after a very slow day when she sees a van pull up and she is excited that someone is interested in the home. Little does Annie know that her whole life is about to change. The book take the reader through the event of the abduction and the time that Annie is held captive by the man Annie refers to as "The Freak" as well as what is unfolding in Annie's life now that she has returned, which has not been an easy adjustment that the things that are uncovered blew my mind. What "The Freak" puts Annie though was very difficult to read, it is raw and disturbing. It was very hard to get through at times because of the level of detail that was provided, I know and understand that it was necessary, but that did not make it any easier. I expected this and really only this from the story but was pleased to find that the reader was given breaks from the painful parts of the story with what is happening in Annie's life now that she is back home. The reprieve made the book much easier to get though, but also made me not want to put it down because as the details of the events that lead up to the abduction start to unfold I was amazed and blown away at just who was responsible for the plan. No matter how off track it got, the person responsible is the very last person that I had expected. I actually think that discovering who was at fault made the story many times worse in my mind.
Chevy Stevens writes in a powerful way and in a style that made this topic tolerable. The rawness of the topic of abduction and just what happens when someone is locked in a house with no windows or connection with the outside in difficult to even understand but Chevy Stevens presents the facts and experience in a first hand manner that allows the read to understand yet detach themselves enough from the pictures painted that while painful to read it makes you want to find out more and get to the root of what is going on. There were tear for me at more than one stage of this book. That being said there were also times that I was excited for Annie and found her to be such a strong woman. Despite being broken, she does not lay down and just let someone else trying to solve what happened she takes an active role in finding out who was responsible for ruining her life.
I highly recommend this book, yes it is a tough and painful read but it is also very worthy of the time and earns every bit of hype that is out there about it. - C. Battista - I've never been more satisfied!just as I was about to submit my payment for this cable, the USPS showed up at my desk with a package. it was inside. if this cable can get standard mail here that fast you know it's worth the price. maybe a little too fast for Denon, as they never took my payment, this cable obviously has crossed the time/space continuum with my true intent to buy. I've tried multiple times since to duplicate this action, but I think it knows I know. I have yet to try to use the cable to buy another cable, I think maybe this is a bad idea.
I never bothered to connect it to my equipment, I recommend you spend some time with it. start with it in the trunk of your car, then the glove box, center console, and eventually put it in your pocket and just carry it around before you ever try to use it. Lately I've been listening to John Lennon from beyond the grave. his new work is good, but not what you expect. clarity is fantastic and the understanding of physics and energy motion you gain is also worth the price alone, factor in the state of subliminal consciousness and blue aura you emit to women around you this thing is practically a steal.
I do intend to be burried with this cable, as I'm sure despite the shady, vulgar and down right horrible things I've done in my life, it will allow me to cross the river and pass the gates of heaven without judgement.
the only down side is that you need to get yourself some clothes made out of natural organic fabrics, or you'll find yourself with burn marks.. they should have written that in the manual. - James S Grillo "Zachary Grillo" - Very Fun game and info about DRMI waited for this game for a while since 2007 and I bought the galactic edition and I have to say its very stunning. the stages are quite interesting to a point that its becoming a franchise to some people. now to the people who are concern about the DRM. the system was made to stop piracy so that duplicated of a cd fails. now take for example that you reformat, uninstall, change hardware and other stuff that might make you reinstall the game. due to this im sure people are wondering: "Do I need to be charged to get another set of activations". The answer which I spoke to EA support about all of those 2000+ plus users complaining about issue and they said this . Its False. they said they will never charge you for another set. thats for those people who ACTUALLY bought the game. those reviewers are pissed that they cant hack the game. simple enough so to those users. Actually buy the game instead of being lifeless illiterate people that hack all games. do yourself a favor and actually BUY and PLAY the game and then comeback because you FAIL. no exceptions. the guy said I understand completely at the debate and they will not charge you or securom stays on your HD. the securom just checks to see if you have a real CD and not a false. to concerns that if it sucks resources. no it doesnt. since the processors ar epowerful now. the power needed is insignificant to make even the slightest change in speed. one thing to know is that it failed due to the pirate destroyed that system before it even came to the market. so to the people who are wanting this game. Dont be afraid it wont harm your PC in Any form whatsoever. if you ran out of activation. Give EA a call. the number should be in you Spore manual. Have fun
